Examples of funded projects

Fiscal Year2025: In FY25, awards were used to convene technical consultations to review and assess draft food safety standards, including those related to hygiene, veterinary drug residues, spices, fats and oils, and pesticide residues. These consultations engaged technical experts in evidence-based review processes to strengthen participation in international standard-setting, promote harmonization with science-based regulations, and support predictable regulatory environments that enhance global food safety and reduce trade barriers. This effort also strengthened U.S. leadership in Codex by anchoring standards in scientific evidence and fostering alignment with U.S. food safety regulations.
