What the grant funds
Problem Statement: INL Ukraine seeks the support of programmatic, logistical, and administrative assistance to advance law enforcement and criminal justice sector reforms in Ukraine. In order to build capacity and achieve its Euro-Atlantic integration goals, Ukrainian staff often need to travel to observe best practices in the United States and Europe. The program itself will provide the training and resources to achieve successful reforms in Ukraine. Project Vision: By supporting the Ukraine Law Enforcement and Justice Sector Reform program, relevant stakeholders in Ukraine and elsewhere will receive the necessary training to implement reforms and eventually reach EU accession goals and Euro-Atlantic integration. This vision aligns with Ukraine Assistance Strategy Objective 2, and ICS Mission Goal 2 and Mission Goal 3.
