What the grant funds

The Award Ceiling for Year 1 is 0 (none). CDC anticipates an Approximate Total Fiscal Year Funding amount of $7,000,000 for Year 1, subject to the availability of funds. This NOFO aims to strengthen strategic information (SI) systems and enhance evidence-based decision-making capacity to achieve and sustain the 95-95-95 targets (95% of people living with HIV (PLHIV) know their status, 95% of known PLHIV on treatment, and 95% of those on treatment are virally suppressed) and HIV epidemic control in Lesotho. Activities supported by this NOFO include strengthening monitoring and evaluation (M&E) capacity to produce high-quality data; building the capacity of M&E staff at all levels to analyze and use data from multiple sources; strengthening the District Health Information System, Version 2 (DHIS2) and electronic register systems; and enhancing the interoperability of DHIS2 with other data systems such as PEPFAR DATIM (Data for Accountability, Transparency and Impact Monitoring) and the Laboratory Information System. Activities supported by this NOFO will ensure quality clinical services are linked to laboratory, case reporting for epidemic control of HIV and TB, and routine data use for monitoring priority programs, evaluating public health impact, and continuous quality improvement (CQI) for health services.
