Locally Established Partners (LEPs): A U.S. or international organization that works through locally-led operations and programming models. USAID welcomes applications from local organizations and LEPs that have not previously received financial assistance from USAID. Faith-based local or locally established organizations are eligible to apply for federal financial assistance on the same basis as any other local organization and are subject to the protections and requirements of Federal law. This eligibility requirements are restricted only to the principal/prime applicant but not to the subawardee(s).
