The new Center of Excellence on New Mobility and Automated Vehicles (“Mobility COE”) will collect, conduct, and fund research on the impacts of new mobility and highly automated vehicles on land use, urban design, transportation, real estate, equity, and municipal budgets.” New mobility is defined as transportation network companies (e.g., Uber or Lyft), docked and dockless bikes, and docked and dockless scooters. Applicants may be any institution of higher education or public or private research entity.
