## What the grant funds

The U.S. Embassy in Tirana, Albania announces an open call for non-governmental organizations to submit applications for a Media Literacy program working with Albanian universities with a teacher education program component. Please follow all instructions below: Priority Region: Albania Program Objectives: The proposals should focus on: - Teaching media literary as an idea and concept in university and societal levels. - Create opportunities to integrate media literacy in pre-university and university levels, through pre-service teacher’s preparation, which are the bridge between both educational levels. - Increase the capacities of pedagogical staff at universities to promote and teach media literacy in university levels, through programs such as Train the Trainers. - Improve analytical and creative skills of Albanian students in analyzing and creating media content through training, competitions, and media literacy events. - Strengthen the resilience of youth towards disinformation, fake news, conspiracy theories, and propaganda through training, competitions, and other activities.
