Eligibility is open to international non-profit organizations. For-profit entitles are not eligible to be the prime recipient of an award under this NOFO. When sub-awarding or sub-contracting with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal. The applicants must submit proof of their non-profit status with their proposal submission (e.g. proof of 501(c) (3) status, Pakistan NGO license). Applications that do not include proof of non-profit status will not be considered for an award. Individuals are not eligible for an award under this NOFO. U.S.-based or registered organizations should provide proof of registration to operate in Pakistan or have a documented agreement with a partner organization registered to operate in Pakistan. Please refer to Section D for funding restrictions.

## What the grant funds

The U.S. Consulate General Peshawar Public Affairs Section (PAS) is seeking proposals for a grant providing training for young people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) interested in entrepreneurship with a specific focus on enhancing capacity for regional trade with Afghanistan. The implementer will be a legally recognized non-profit and non-governmental organization that meets U.S. and Pakistani technical and legal requirements to develop and implement public diplomacy programs as specified in Section C. Proposals should cover an eight-month period of performance and specify activities in KPK, with a particular focus on traditionally underrepresented groups, including young people from the Newly Merged Districts.
