Awards made under the SMART Fellowship Program will fund fellowships for a period of 12 months. The fellows will work closely with SMART Office staff and will work onsite periodically in the SMART Office in Washington, D.C. The purpose of these fellowships is to provide guidance to jurisdictions on how to either obtain or maintain substantial implementation of SORNA and improve management of those convicted of sexual offenses through research and practice, with the aim of reducing sexual violence.
