## What the grant funds

The LRP TVA supports applications that will fulfill an extraordinary vision for dramatically improving the quality of life of persons with lupus using an intervention at the individual and/or health care system level. This award requires a plan that will test and achieve the vision through the translation of research ideas which, when addressed, will result in a near-term impact on the quality of life of persons living with lupus. Preliminary data are required. Human subject research and clinical trials are allowed under this program announcement. The CDMRP encourages research on health areas and conditions that affect women uniquely, disproportionately, or differently from men, including studies analyzing sex as a biological variable. Such research should relate anticipated project findings to improvements in women's health outcomes and/or advancing knowledge for women's health.
