| What to submit | Applicants submit applications designed to verify caregivers of traumatic brain injury patients, time spent as a caregiver, counseling and other assitance received in the past, and details of the brain injury patient to whom they give care. The application includes a comprensive questionnaire. Each application is reviewed and approveed by the board and the appropriate services are granted. |
| Restrictions | Clients are restricted to 12 independent counseling sessions. The first six sessions are granted upon approval of the application, then the client's needs are reassessed, and if dedtermined addtioanl sessions are needed, clients can receive up to an additional six counseling sessions. Clients can then request more sessions after 12, but they must reapply for board approval in such cases. |
